Dispute Between Mother and Daughter Allegedly Plays Out at Wal-Mart

An Allentown woman is facing disorderly conduct and harassment charges after she allegedly got into a domestic dispute with her mother at in Lower Nazareth Township, according to .
Multiple witnesses said they observed Tamara McGill, 28, of the first block of N. 18th St., trying to steal an elderly woman’s purse on July 22 around 9:45 a.m., police say.
After McGill was confronted by additional shoppers, according to police, McGill returned the purse to the woman, then fled the parking lot in a vehicle. She was stopped a short time later.

A police investigation revealed that the victim, who was not identified, was McGill’s mother.
According to police, “McGill and her mother were involved in a domestic dispute, which resulted in McGill pushing her mother and breaking her cell phone.”

McGill was released from the scene and a citation for disorderly conduct and harassment was sent through the mail.
