2 Students Hit by Airsoft Pellets near Nazareth Library

Borough police arrest juvenile as suspected shooter; students treated for minor injuries.

Nazareth police arrested a juvenile they say fired 15 pellets from an airsoft gun at several students Monday afternoon in the area of the borough library.

The pellets struck one student in the arm and also struck the backpack of another student, borough police said.

The students told a crossing guard they were walking by the library and were at N. Whitfield and E. Center streets around 2:40 p.m. when they were hit.

Borough police responded and arrrested the alleged shooter and recovered the airsoft gun.

Nazareth EMS treated the two students for minor injuries.

Police did not release any names because of the ages of the alleged shooter and the students.
