Summer Reading in Full Swing at Nazareth Memorial Library

Sign up for The Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity's summer reading program to avoid the dreaded "summer slide" and for chances to win prizes.

We're off to a busy start to the summer here at ! Our summer reading program is a great way for kids to have fun during the summer months and fight that dreaded "summer slide." In the first week, 260 young people signed up for the program, which offers rewards for kids who complete a series of "reading challenges." The more books you read, the more stuff you get!

Additionally, this year, thanks to a grant for Dollar General's Literacy Foundation, we have added a weekly raffle to the summer program. For every book a child reads, they get a ticket entered into a drawing. Each week, five winners receive a $5 gift card to Dollar General. And then at the end of the summer, all those tickets get dumped into a huge raffle. At our end-of-summer "Reading Stars" party (August 8), one lucky winner receives a Kindle Fire

The more books you read, the better chance you have to win. The tower of tickets (see picture) is off to a good start, but we want to see that tower filled by the end of summer! Come on in and sign up for the reading program if you have not done so already.
