"Read To The Pups" at Nazareth Library

"Read to the Pups" is returning to the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity.

We're getting ready to welcome some very special four-legged guests to the library! Our popular "Read to the Pups" program returns April 27. The furry listeners are provided by Therapy Dogs International, Chapter 100.

While it might sound funny, research has shown that children who spend time reading to a dog show marked improvement in literacy skills. Dogs are non-judgemental listeners after all, and the child is likely to have so much fun with their new furry friend, that they will hardly notice how much time they just spent reading. It really is a fun day at the library and just so cute. Bring your cameras!

The program is for grades 1 and up -- bring a favorite book (or grab one from the library shelves). Call the library's children's department at 610-759-4932 x4 to reserve your time slot. Woof!
