PHOTOS: Star Wars Characters Visit the Nazareth Library

A recap of a Star Wars event at the Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity. Lots of fun pictures!

The Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity got a visit from the dark side on Saturday, as some amazing Star Wars characters visited Nazareth.

The group is called "Garrison Carida," part of what is known as the 501st Legion. It is described as "The World's Definitive Imperial Star Wars Costuming Organization," and the costumes truly are remarkable. The kids at the library were thrilled to meet several different Stormtroopers and Darth Vader himself.

Garrison Carida is entirely not-for-profit and dedicated to charitable and educational causes. The group is a wonderful supporter of literacy. Members went out of their way to explain how important it is to value reading and visit the library often.

As part of the visit we read Star Wars stories and played Star Wars trivia games. It's amazing how much knowledge these guys have about Star Wars. Even more impressive were the kids at the library! They answered every trivia challenge correctly, no matter how obscure the question.

Then we posed for lots of pictures. They might be evil, but they were great guests and everyone had a really fun time.
