PHOTOS: Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels at Nazareth Memorial Library

The "Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels" brought some cool nocturnal creatures to The Memorial Library of Nazareth & Vicinity on June 27.

The  hosted a wonderful animal program Wednesday night as some inhabitants of the Philadelphia Zoo visited Nazareth.

Caitlin Halligan, Lead Educator for "Philadelphia Zoo on Wheels," brought a host of cool noctural creatures as part of the library's summer reading program (Dream Big, READ!).

Kids and parents packed the library's living room to learn about nocturnal animals and meet guests such as:

  • Dalby, the White's Tree Frog
  • Buku, the Prehensile-tailed Skink 
  • Dewey, the Spectacled Owl
  • Sydney, the Sugar Glider

Caitlin did a wonderful presentation and answered many questions for children and parents alike. She also brought interesting items such as a replica of a hawk's talons and a bat skeleton. Everyone learned a lot and had a great time -- check out the pictures!
