'Christmas in Nazareth' is Saturday

Activities for all ages will be offered by 20 local groups, businesses and organizations at 'Christmas in Nazareth.'

The Moravian Historical Society reminds everyone that “Christmas in Nazareth” will take place Saturday, Dec. 14, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at various downtown locations.

Activities for all ages will be offered by 20 local groups, businesses and organizations. As the society writes in a news release:

—Enjoy crafts at Moravian Hall Square and meet Santa for a story time at the Memorial Library for Nazareth and Vicinity.

—Don’t miss tours of the rarely seen 1740 Gray Cottage at the Moravian Historical Society and free tours of the Whitefield House museum.

—Book a romantic carriage ride of the historic district (sponsored by Merchants Bank).

And there's more:

—A traditional Putz at Nazareth Moravian Church.

—A meet and greet with Vigilance Fire Company #1 firefighters and engine.

—Cupcake decorating at Cozze Cake.

—The Interact Club will offer kiffles from The Pie Shop at Bartholomew-Schisler Funeral Home.

—Nazareth Center for the Arts will present an arts and crafts fair.

—Holy Family Church will present an acoustic guitar Christmas program.

—Stop by the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Nazareth office for refreshments and activities.

—Enjoy seasonal music, crafts and other activities at many more downtown locations, including local favorites Mycalyn Floral Shop, Hair Therapy, Me-2-U Treasures, Rice and Beans, Army & Navy Store, Vintage House of Hair, GS Oswald Jewelers, RD Lambert Jewelers, The Missing Piece, MainStream Salon and Co. and Golden Guitar Gallery.

To encourage visitation, Nazareth Borough will offer free parking at the downtown parking meters.

Nazareth Area School District's fifth-grade students will enjoy free admission, sponsored by Just Born Inc.

Also, visitors can enjoy special offerings at the Nazareth Veterinary Center, the Nazareth YMCA and Kraemer Textiles. Merchants Bank will offer giveaways, refreshments and more at the Whitefield House.

Don’t miss the parking meter decorating contest offered by Rotary International – Nazareth. Register atwww.moravianhistoricalsociety.org.

Families are invited to purchase a ticket ($10 for adults, $5 for youth under 16) at one of the following venues: the Moravian Historical Society, Nazareth Chamber of Commerce, Memorial Library for Nazareth and Vicinity, and the Nazareth office of the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce. Carriage rides and some activities may require an additional cost and/or wristband.
