4th Annual Tim Lambert Boy Scouts of America Memorial 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run & 1 Mile Kids Fun Run

We hope you’re ready to lace up those running shoes and join
us! Saturday, October 11th marks our 4th year and we are very proud
of all that our event has to offer. We can’t believe that it’s almost Summer
but Fall will be here before you know it.  We know that October is the
perfect time of the year for running, so register today!

Why run our race? Many reasons: Great awards,
age group medals in 10 year increments, custom prize for the first 25
male/female finishers in both races, lots of door prizes, lots of post-race
food provided by Sams Club, Rita’s Italian Ice – free, donuts by Easton Baking
Company along with hot chocolate and coffee in the morning while you “warm” up,
participant t-shirts with custom artwork and unique logo, a two state 5k that
crosses the historic Easton/Phillipsburg free bridge (both courses are PR
courses), nice participant bags where you actually get stuff in them (not just
flyers), a DJ spinning tunes all morning long, enthusiastic Scouting volunteers
to ensure enjoyment and safety, and professional timing by Pretzel City Sports.

Who were Tim and Taylor? Tim Lambert was a retired
Easton police officer and an active Easton school district resource officer. In
October of 2008 Tim and his daughter, Taylor, were tragically killed in a
motorcycle accident traveling home from a BMW motorcycle club event in New
York. Tim was a Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 29 in Forks Township and an active
member within the Scouting District. He was very passionate about the Scouting
program and always had a positive attitude towards everything and everyone. His
son just attained the rank of Eagle, the pinnacle achievement of a Boy Scout.
This race will benefit the local Boy Scouts of America by supporting the
Scouting programs in the community that Tim cherished so deeply.
