Freezing Rain Advisory Issued for Nazareth Area

The Nazareth area is under a freezing rain advisory from 10 p.m. Friday through 10 a.m. Saturday.

The Lehigh Valley is under a freezing rain advisory for light freezing rain from 10 p.m. Friday until 10 a.m. Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

WFMZ says temperatures are expected to be near or just below freezing, so ice could easily develop, especially on untreated surfaces.

The Weather Service says:

  • Friday: A chance of rain, snow, and sleet before 3 a.m., then rain likely. Total nighttime snow and sleet accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
  • Saturday: Rain before 7 a.m. High near 40. During the nighttime hours, rain is likely before 1 a.m. followed by a chance of freezing rain.
  • Sunday: A chance of freezing rain before 8 a.m., then a chance of rain and snow between 8 and 9 a.m. The sun will eventually make an appearance. High near 43.
