POLL: Should Michael Andretti Have Been 'Fired?'

Donald Trump gave Michael Andretti and Adam Carolla their walking papers on Sunday night's episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice." Was Trump's call the right one?

It seemed like a no-brainer, at least to Donald Trump.

Sunday night's project on the fourth episode of "The Celebrity Apprentice" involved a presentation and question-and-answer session for the new Buick Verano luxury sedan.

So who better to be the project manager this week than champion racecar driver -- and former resident -- Michael Andretti?

Despite the Andretti name and cars being synonymous, Andretti didn't think he was the right guy for the job -- it was more of a marketing project, he argued.

But Trump was none too happy with Andretti's decision to allow Adam Carolla to raise his hand and take over as project manager.

In the end, Team Forte -- the women's team -- won over Buick's executives. This was the second loss in as many weeks for the men's team.

The executives felt Andretti was reserved and lacked stage presence. Andretti defended himself by noting that he is not a performer and that he was standing next to one of the best guys in the business -- Carolla.

Many of Andretti's teammates also came to his defense, including Carolla. Most felt Lou Ferrigno, who has yet to be utilized in any of the project challenges, should be fired.

But when Carolla refused to bring two of his teammates back to the boardroom with him -- he felt, as project manager, full responsibility fell on his shoulders -- Trump made a surprise move. Two people, instead of one, would be fired Sunday night.

Trump agreed that the project's success or failure was the responsibility of Carolla. He was the first to hear, "You're fired." It then came down to Andretti and Ferrigno, but Trump could not get over the fact that Andretti did not utilize his background and family name.
