Nazareth Floral Designs Closes on Main Street

The owners of Nazareth Floral Designs at Donahoe Farms closed their Main Street shop last week, but moved all of the merchandise to their Upper Nazareth Township store.

Nazareth Floral Designs -- a store that has occupied 66 S. Main St. in the borough since 1916 -- was closed on Oct. 14.

But fear not, loyal patrons -- on East Lawn Road (Route 191) in Upper Nazareth Township will not only remain open, but all of the merchandise from the Main Street store has been transferred over.

“We didn’t close, we just moved [all of the merchandise] over here,” said co-owner Kevin Donahoe.

Kevin and Nancy Donahoe acquired the Main Street store in 2008 from former owners Les and Nancy Little. The change to the Donahoe Farms’ name was intended to link the two businesses.

“We put all of the computers and phones [at the East Lawn location] to make it easier to do business,” Donahoe said. “Now we’re running from one location instead of two.”

Donahoe did not comment on whether the economic climate affected the closing of the flower shop on Main Street, but he assures customers that nothing else has changed about the way he and his wife do business.
