Five Below to Hold Grand Opening Celebration May 11-13

The new Five Below in Lower Nazareth Township will hold its grand opening celebration May 11-13; everything in the store is priced between $1 and $5.

You can’t get much for less than $5 these days -- unless you shop at a store where everything is priced between $1 and $5. Now, Lower Nazareth Township residents can do just that.

Five Below in the Lower Nazareth Commons Plaza will hold its grand opening celebration May 11-13. The store is one of more than 195 other Five Below stores spanning 16 eastern and mid-Atlantic states.

The next closest store to the Nazareth area is on MacArthur Road in Whitehall.

Five Below offers a wide variety of super-trendy products primarily marketed toward the teen and tween markets, but there's a little something for everyone.

During the celebration, free T-shirts will be handed out to customers who make a purchase -- while supplies last. There's also a chance to win a $100 shopping spree.

With all that shopping, you might get hungry. Hot dogs will be sold for 5 cents each. There is a limit of three hot dogs per customer.

The layout of both the store and the Five Below website divides merchandise into several categories: sports, media, crafts, candy, party, room and style.

Sports. Five Below has great deals on summer sport paraphernalia, such as body boards, wacky noodles, beach balls, rafts, swim goggles and men’s swim trunks. Yoga mats and balls are a steal for $5 each, as are mini-skateboards and children’s baseball mitts.

Media. The deals on DVDs and books are great. But, what’s even more impressive are the bargains on mobile phone and iPod covers, cases, chargers and other accessories; iPad, netbook and laptop sleeves; and, computer and game-platform software.

Crafts. When hobby kits are $5 or less, everyone in your family will be painting rocks, making friendship bracelets, baking huge cookies or folding paper in an artful manner. And if you're looking for colorful duck tape -- with penguins -- Five Below is the place to go.

Candy. Five Below sells much of the candy you already know and love, as well as some you may not know but will love nonetheless. Japanese treats come in different flavors and cute packaging.

Party. You'll find quite a selection of tableware, decorations, balloons, gift wrap and cards for both seasonal and birthday celebrations.

Room. Lava lamps, dartboards, inflatable chairs and posters -- these are the basics of any awesome dorm room, right? And, for $5 a pop, they won’t force you to dip into your emergency pizza fund.

Style. From head to toe, the store has got you covered. Five Below sells flip-flops and sunglasses at amazingly low prices. It has a selection of amusing graphic T-shirts for juniors and young men. Purses, wallets, bags and belts are just some of the accessories sold.

There is a five below in Phillipsburg and I think that is closer than Allentown
