Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar to Open April 18 in Lower Nazareth

The Minneapolis-based restaurant is gearing up for a grand opening in the Lower Nazareth Commons plaza.

You’ve probably seen the hilarious commercials: patrons of Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar having such a good time that they don’t want to leave. So the loyal staff finds ridiculous means to let them stay longer, whether its faking a hailstorm or coercing a referee to force a game into overtime. Then we see the logo and slogan: “You Have To Be Here.”

If we truly had to be there, we’d have to drive nearly an hour and a half to North Brunswick, N.J., for the closest Buffalo Wild Wings experience. But not for long.

On April 18, the 6,000-square-foot bar and grill will have its grand opening in Lower Nazareth Township. The restaurant, which was was conceptualized as a New York-style wing eatery combined with the appeal of a sports bar, has been erected behind the PNC Bank in the Lower Nazareth Commons plaza.

Features include a large outdoor dining area, wi-fi access, a full bar, video games and flat-screen televisions. Each restaurant has at least 40 televisions -- anywhere from 42 inches to 80 inches.

The adornment of sports paraphernalia on the walls is a staple for "B-Dubs," as the fan-following has affectionately nicknamed the restaurant.

“The best thing is it’s simple,” said North Brunswick manager Gerry Cortez. “We do hot wings, cold beer and sports.”

The colorful menu is chock-full of signature dishes as well as some classic favorites. Wings are (obviously) the centerpiece of the carte du jour, but there’s also plenty of burgers, sandwiches, ribs and flatbread concoctions.

The chain offers 14 signature wing sauces, from teriyaki to parmesan garlic to the spiciest, simply known as Blazin’. Bottled sauces are available for sale at each restaurant.

As for the full bar, each Buffalo Wild Wings includes plenty of draft beers, imported and local. According to Cortez, each restaurant carries no less than 24 beers on tap, and at least 20 different bottled brands.

The restaurant's website sums up what the company is trying to achieve: “We are a fun, edgy, high-energy and easy-going restaurant—much like the personalities of our guests.”
