Three-Way Café is owned and operated by executive chef Adam Aschoff and pastry chef Elizabeth Buss. They run their business by the slogan, “Everything fresh, everything homemade.”

The name Three-Way Café is derived from its signature menu. Seven different Three-Way signature items can be ordered in three forms: as a panini, a quesadilla or as a salad. Five breakfast menu options are available on a Kaiser roll, a bagel or a wrap.

True to the slogan, all dressings and soups are homemade. Bread comes in daily from a bakery in Newark. The pastries are all made on-premise.

“We wanted to incorporate fresh-baked pastries with bistro-style sandwiches… [we] wanted to bring those things together,” Aschoff said.

Fresh pastries -- made daily -- include the likes of cupcakes, scones, bear claws, and signature cake balls: cake crumbs mixed in icing and dipped in chocolate, a best-seller at the café.

The café’s most popular items, according to Aschoff, are the turkey club, the spinach salad, and the chicken and cheese quesadilla. The entire menu is available all day, and includes a kids’ menu.

Three-Way Café also carries Boylan’s Soda, a unique line of New Jersey soft drink made with real cane sugar.

Both Aschoff and Buss are New York trained chefs. The duo worked together at the Saucon Valley Country Club where they conceived the idea of striking out on their own. Next week, they will be celebrating the one-year anniversary of Three-Way Café.
