Kate Micucci to Return to 'Big Bang Theory'

Nazareth Area High School grad Kate Micucci will reprise role as Lucy in seventh season of "The Big Bang Theory."

Actress Kate Micucci will return to the seventh season of the hit TV comedy "The Big Bang Theory" and will reprise her role as Lucy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

In season six, Micucci, a 1998 graduate of Nazareth Area High School, played the socially awkward Lucy, who was Raj's love interest but broke his heart when she left him.

The new season of series returns to CBS at 8 p.m. Thursday. Micucci's character will return in the eighth episode, scheduled to air Nov. 14, according to the report. 

Micucci's Facebook fans were thrilled with the news and had this to say:

  • "i really hope Raj and Lucy get back together"
  • "You're so cute and awkward on the show Kate, can't wait!"

Micucci was born in New Jersey and raised in Bushkill Township. She appeared in five episodes of "Scrubs" and has had guest roles on "Malcolm in the Middle," "'Til Death" and "How I Met Your Mother." She performs in Los Angeles as half of the musical duo "Garfunkel and Oates."
