Chance to 'Meet' Eleanor Roosevelt this Thursday

Linda Kenyon will bring to life one of America's most beloved First Ladies during the April 12 showing of 'A Life of My Own: Meeting Eleanor Roosevelt' at the Nazareth Memorial Library.

Area residents will have the opportunity to "meet" Eleanor Roosevelt during an exclusive showing of “” at .

The show will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12. Admission is free. Seating is limited, however, and registration is appreciated.

Actress Linda Kenyon, who visited the library in 2011 as Julia Child, will bring to life one of America’s most beloved First Ladies, following Roosevelt’s evolution from uncertain young bride to an American woman of strong opinions and towering influence.

Ellie Seagraves, granddaughter of Roosevelt, says Kenyon has the “voice, gestures, warmth and engaging personal touches of Eleanor Roosevelt. What Kenyon does with this role is the best I’ve seen or heard.”

Kenyon has appeared on stage, television and screen.

Mallory Vough, editor of Nazareth Patch, and Susan Koomar, regional editor of the Lehigh Valley Patches, will be at the library from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. -- just prior to the Eleanor Roosevelt event.
