Unfortunately, This is the Calm in the Middle of the Storm

Another band of snow is moving up the East Coast, and even more accumulation is possible.

Our area got walloped by a major Nor’easter Wednesday night and Thursday morning, and it’s not over yet.

Another band of snow will be moving up the East Coast Thursday night and Friday morning, bringing with it up to another 5 inches of snow in some places.

All told, this storm will dump up to 20 inches of snow on some areas, the National Weather Service said.

The region are under a winter storm warning until 6 a.m. Friday, the National Weather Service said.

Pennsylvania still is under an emergency declaration from the last storm, which doesn’t need to be renewed, Gov. Tom Corbett said during a Thursday morning news conference.

Though emergency crews were working around the clock, travel remained dangerous. Pennsylvania State Police had responded to 124 accidents as of noon Thursday, and Corbett urged those who don’t have to travel to stay off the roads.

All regional transit authorities were impacted by the storm.

The initial portion of the storm dumped up to 16 inches of snow on some areas. The following are the official snowfall totals from the National Weather Service for the first part of the Nor’easter:

Chester Springs: 12.5 inches
West Chester: 9.1 inches

Delaware County:
Wayne: 10.2 inches
Drexel Hill: 10.0 inches
Media: 9.1 inches

Lehigh County:
Allentown: 13.7 inches
Allentown Airport: 13.6 inches
Bethlehem: 10.0 inches
Coplay: 6.0 inches

Montgomery County:
Willow Grove: 11.5 inches
Royersford: 11.0 inches
King of Prussia: 10.5 inches
Pottstown: 10.5 inches
Ambler: 8.5 inches

Northampton County:
Forks Twp.: 14.2 inches
Easton: 14.0 inches

Philadelphia County:
