Lower Nazareth Holding Cleanup Day

Lower Nazareth Township residents will be able to toss lots of trash during cleanup day Saturday.

It's time for a little spring cleaning.

Lower Nazareth Township will hold its annual cleanup day on Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event, which will take place rain or shine, is for Lower Nazareth residents only and a proof of residency will be required.

All material can be dumped at 4600 Newburg Road.

The township is accepting general household trash like furniture and mattresses, metal goods, wood materials, white goods/appliances, tires and car/truck batteries.

Each household is limited to the following number of trips: three cars/SUVs or two pickup trucks or 1 pickup truck with attached trailer or one box/truck/van/stake body (up to 17 feet long).

All refrigerated appliances must be de-freonized by a certified technician and tagged accordingly. Those appliances without tags will not be accepted.

Yard waste will also be accepted.

But the township will not take electronics, paint, chemicals and hazardous materials.
