'Louis The Sun King' is the Top Dog of Nazareth Patch

"Louis The Sun King," a Brittany puppy, has been named the Top Dog of Nazareth Patch. Can he best the rest in the regional competition?

After 23 submissions and two weeks of intense voting, "" has been crowned the Top Dog of Nazareth Patch.

Louis, of Nazareth, is a Brittany puppy and is owned (or owns?) by John and Carol Scarangello.

Carol uploaded Louis' photo and described him as "an energetic, loving, playful Brittany puppy who spends his days chasing anything that flies past his nose."

Hopefully a few extra treats will fly past that nose now that he's famous!

Also noteworthy is Seal Sandt, the pup who gave Louis a run for his money. Seal resides with Kyle and Amanda Sandt. After saying "Sayonara!" to his shelter days, Seal now enjoys long walks, running around and, most of all, being a cuddle bug, according to Amanda.

Next up for Louis?

The winners of the local contests will move on to a regional competition. The voting for that level runs from July 9 to 20, and again will take place in the comments section of that article (which will be posted on July 9).

On July 23, the five regional winners will be unveiled, and they will face off to become the Top Dog in Eastern Pennsylvania Patch-land from July 23 to 27. The winner will be announced July 30.

Look for great prizes at both the regional and Eastern Pennsylvania levels.
