It's Gonna Be A Hot One

Temperatures will reach the upper 90s Tuesday and Wednesday, the National Weather Service says.

You might want to find a spot in the shade -- it's gonna be a hot one.

Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 90s on Tuesday, the National Weather Service, and could reach into the 100s just south of us on the DelMarVa Peninsula.

Things will be just as hot on Wednesday, with temperatures again hitting the upper 90s.

A hazardous weather outlook is in effect for the region, including Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Montgomery, Northampton and Philadelphia counties.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected Tuesday afternoon into Tuesday evening, and they could be doozies.

"The primary hazard is expected to be strong winds," the NWS says. "Marginally severe hail, and brief heavy rain leading to flooding in poor drainage areas is also possible."

"The highest threat for severe storms is along and northwest of the Interstate 95 corridor," the NWS says.
