Holy Family Festival to Begin Friday

Summer carnivals and festivals continue with the three-night Holy Family Festival in Nazareth.

Carnival and festival season continues in Nazareth with the three-night Holy Family Festival, which will begin Friday, July 29 and end Sunday, July 31.

But, first, we're getting slightly ahead of ourselves.

New for 2011 is "Ethnic Night," which will be held Thursday, July 28 from 5-8pm.

There will be no rides or Bingo during "Ethnic Night," but the beer tent will be open, entertainment will be provided by Mark "Presti" Prestifilippo, and there will be plenty of pizza, cabbage and noodles, bratwurst and kraut, pierogies and meatball sandwiches to go around.

The festival itself will be held Friday and Saturday from 5-11pm, and Sunday from 2-8pm at the end of W. Center Street in Nazareth.

  • Rib-eye steak sandwiches, sausage sandwiches, hot ham sandwiches and turkey barbecue

  • Homemade pierogies

  • Dancing for those bold enough
  • Bingo every night for those with luck on their side

  • Saturday is ride night - from 6-10pm, ride for only $15
  • A free shuttle will be available Saturday from 3:30pm to 12:30am to and from the .
