1. Learn to Draw Cartoons

Why Go: Children and adults are invited to learn how to draw cartoon characters using simple geometric shapes.
Supplies Needed: Pencil, pencil sharpener, drawing/sketch pad, eraser, black Sharpie.

2. Family Fun Camp-Out
Where/When: ; Friday, 7 p.m.
Why Go: The Chick-fil-A parking lot will be transformed into a campground, ready for great family fun and adventures.
To Register: Pop into the local restaurant or give Chick-fil-A a call to reserve a space.
Price: $10 per person -- includes activities, dinner, a midnight snack and breakfast

3. Register NOW for Kids Summer Bowling League
Where/When: Blue Valley Lanes on Route 512, Wind Gap; Saturdays at 11 a.m. starting June 4
Why Go: A children's summer bowling league will be held every Saturday, and for every game bowled, your child will earn coupons toward free games.
Price: $9 per week -- includes shoe rental
4. Pool Opening
Where/When: ; Saturday, Sunday and Monday, noon to 7 p.m.
Why Go: Get ready for the summer! Splash and swim your way through the Memorial Day weekend.

5. Memorial Day Parade
Where/When: Parade will begin at Nazareth's Centre Square; Monday, 10 a.m.
Why Go: Celebrate Memorial Day, the national holiday that honors and commemorates U.S. soldiers who died during military service, by attending a special parade through downtown Nazareth. At the end of the parade, a ceremony will be held behind Post 4366, Pvt. Kenneth S. Bowers Post, 144 Mauch Chunk St. The speaker will be Captain Randy Hall, a teacher who will be deployed to the Middle East in August.
