PennDOT resumed its rehabilitation of Route 22 in Easton, Wilson and Palmer Township this weekend. The $7.1 million project began again Sunday evening. Drivers should expect delays due to lane restrictions Sunday nights through Thursday mornings between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. The state is patching, milling and repaving the road between the Fourth Street and 25th Street exits. Pennsylvania American Water announced Tuesday the start of construction to replace more than 13,000 feet of aging water main in Plainfield Township to improve service reliability for customers and increase water flows for firefighting. The cost of the system improvements, which replace water main dating back to the 1920s, is approximately $2.3 million. Starting this week, the company will replace existing eight-inch cast iron water mains with new 16-inch ductile iron pipe along Sullivan Trail between Route 512 and Sexton Road.
