The Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce -- in conjunction with the Moravian Historical Society and the Jacobsburg Historical Society -- will hold the first-ever Night of Lights on October 31 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Nazareth Area Middle School students will be selling kits that contain everything needed for residents and business owners to light up their homes and businesses -- orange pumpkin bags, sand, candles and cups.
It is our hope that the community will support the project and create a sense of unity among the greater Nazareth area.
Kits are $12, and some of the proceeds will benefit the local chamber and the historical societies.
The program is being supported by Nazareth Area Middle School, including teacher Jim Pilla and the middle school's Student Council. Students will be helping out by selling the kits through the Nazareth Area School District.
Night of Lights will again be held in December for not only the holiday season, but for the Moravian Historical Society’s annual Christmas Candlelight Walking Tour.
