There are those of us active "oldsters" that you are ignoring. How about the Civic Theater in Allentown? Some of us shiver at the decibel level they use in these so-called "blockbuster" theaters.

I would never purposefully ignore you! I didn't include the Civic Theater because it is not a business in one of the 11 Lehigh Valley Patches. Allentown, unfortunately, does not have a Patch at this time. But the Civic Theater is an excellent choice!

I only go to the Roxy in Northampton. For $20 I can see a movie with a guest and we can each have popcorn, soda and candy. Sometimes I even have change left over.
With these tough economic times, you've got to be frugal. You also have to be patient since the Roxy plays movies at the end of their run.

While it's not a newer multiplex like Rave or Regal or AMC or Carmike, my favorite is absolutely the Roxy in Northampton. Complete with reasonable prices for tickets and snacks, an overall nostalgic atmosphere, and comfortable and clean seats, the Roxy is a great place to watch a movie. The only downside is that you often won't get to see the latest movies for a month or two after their initial release, but to Sherry's point, as long as you have some patience, it's well worth the wait. The Roxy definitely gets my vote.

Rave is the best, no question about it. Comfortable seats, stadium seating in every theatre, state-of-the-art projection and sound. I do enjoy the Roxy, though, especially since they got new seats! The historic atmosphere is beyond compare!
