What Would You Improve in the Nazareth Area in 2013?
If you could make a New Year's resolution for Nazareth Borough, Upper Nazareth Township or Lower Nazareth Township, what would it be?
More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.
As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in the Nazareth area to make it an even better place to live?
What is on your wish list for Nazareth? What is one thing you would improve in 2013?
Tell us in the comment section below or blog about why you love living here!

For some reason this blog consistently leaves out Bushkill Township when talking about the "Nazareth Area". I'm not sure why considering it is part of the Nazareth school district and comprises of an area larger than Nazareth Borough, Lower Nazareth Township and Upper Nazareth Townships combined.

My official Patch boundaries are Nazareth Borough, Upper Nazareth Township and Lower Nazareth Township.
I know there are other municipalities that make up the Nazareth Area School District. I live in Bushkill Township. Trust me... I KNOW ;)
Why aren't they all "officially" included? To save my sanity? Perhaps...
I try to cover the big news in Bushkill (and even Plainfield). I don't intentionally leave out the town I call home.
If you see something newsworthy, send me a tip and/or take photos! We have an events calendar and announcements section for reader contributions. Please -- use this site and make yourself at home.

The Patch management team should rethink its definition of a community. Maybe someday if/when the Patch expands to allow more than one employee, things will change. Keep up the good work.

My resolution for Nazareth,
A fully staffed hometown police force and a borough council that will come to the realization that this is the highest responsibility they have, to maintain the most basic of governmental functions.

More hometown buisness and a hometown police Dept along with a new rescue truck for the vigilant.

Wayne Schissler said it perfectly, I agree with his sentiments 100%.

I'm a former resident - my brother and I are sons of the late Dr. Thomas Ullmann, who had his practice on Mauch Chunk St. I've been visiting "the Naz" yearly, in the last ten years, with my son, and enjoy the visits! Two suggestions. First, the old Kraemer Textile Mill tower should be taken down, before it FALLS down, and causes terrible damage. Second, the Town Council should explore copyrighting the phrase, "The Barony of the Rose", if it hasn't been done already.
Happy New Year, Nazareth!
