Upper Nazareth Fire Chief Honored for 30 Years of Service
Keith Garrity, the chief of the Upper Nazareth Fire Department, was honored Monday night for 30 years of service with the company.
Keith Garrity, the chief of the Upper Nazareth Fire Department, celebrated 30 years of service with the company in April 2012. Garrity joined the department as a junior firefighter at age 15.
To honor his dedication, his fellow volunteers awarded him with a 30-year appreciation plaque at the department's monthly meeting Monday night.
As Garrity accepted his award, he was given a standing ovation.
The Upper Nazareth Board of Supervisors decided at its meeting Wednesday night that it will also honor Garrity for his service.

On behalf of the Vigilance Hose Company No., I want to congratulate Keith on his years of dedicated service. We have a very good relationship with Upper Nazareth and work very well together when the alarm sounds. Keith is a major component within our relationship and the Upper Nazareth Fire Department and does an outstanding job. Well deserved my brother!
