The Touch-A-Truck event at Tuskes Community Park of Upper Nazareth raised about $6,500 for The Memorial Library of Nazareth and Vicinity, according to Lynn Snodgrass-Pilla, director of the library.
Snodgrass-Pilla added that about 1,000 people were in attendance at the Oct. 1 event, which allowed area children to climb aboard everything from front-end loaders to cement trucks to firetrucks.
"We are getting [a lot] of positive feedback and will most definitely be making plans for a future Touch-A-Truck event," Snodgrass-Pilla said in an e-mail to Patch.

This is great! I am glad to hear that there was such a great turnout! I had guessed that the final number would have been 1,000 to 1,200... but was secretly hoping for more!! I do hope that they choose to run this event again! One thing that could have made it better, have it a little earlier so the weather is just a touch warmer. All in all, my nephews and I had a great time!
