This Weekend at the Nazareth Center for the Arts
The Large Flowerheads, Ellyot H. Ray and the Pennsylvania Guitar Quintet are just some of the performers taking the stage at the Nazareth Center for the Arts this weekend.
The Large Flowerheads and Ellyot H. Ray to Perform Friday Night
“The Large Flowerheads look like the 60s with their paisley shirts and Nehru jackets, and they sound enough like the bands of that era to be the real thing,” wrote Jack Fichter from the Cape May County Herald.
The band is made up of Maureen “Moe” Jerant on the drums, Dave “Dano” D’Amelio on the vintage Farfisa organ and bass, Billy Trexler on lead guitar and electric sitar, and Greg Geist on rhythm guitar and mandolin.
The Large Flowerheads have a repertoire that includes music by The Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Box Tops, The Buckinghams and many more.

Opening for the Large Flowerheads will be Easton resident Ellyot H. Ray, who is best known for playing his weissenborn lapslide guitar. Ray, a French-born musician, has been playing guitar since he was 12 years old. He performs a selection of music that ranges from timeless blues and folk rock to soulful acoustic.
In an email to Patch, Ray said his music is “hard to define and nearly impossible to put in a box.”
