Teen Allegedly Flees Kohl's with $720 in Merchandise

But the 16-year-old male is stopped after allegedly fleeing the Kohl's in Lower Nazareth Township with over $700 in store merchandise, including multiple pairs of Nike sneakers.

Nike sneakers couldn't carry one 16-year-old past a local store's loss prevention staff. Maybe because the shoes were allegedly stolen.

On May 12 at 1:09 p.m., Colonial Regional Police responded to the Kohl's Department Store in Lower Nazareth Township for a report of a male being held for retail theft.

The 16-year-old, who was not identified because of his age, allegedly placed multiple pairs of Nike sneakers into a Kohl's bag he brought into the store.

After bagging the items, according to police, the teen fled the store without paying for the items.

The store's loss prevention staff caught up with him and found $720.50 worth of Kohl's merchandise, including shoes, clothes and belts, according to police.

The teen was released to his mother. Charges will be filed through Northampton County Juvenile Probation.
