As the Nazareth Adult Soapbox Racing Association promised, it once again brought racing back to Nazareth.

The 5th Annual Nazareth Adult Soapbox Derby was held Saturday at W. Prospect Street in downtown Nazareth. There were 39 registrants.

Trophies were awarded to the drivers with the best three times. For the second year in a row, Jeff Bartron took the top trophy.

Jason Calandra took second place, and Rob Leiser took third place.

At the end of each heat, the cars were lined up and those in attendance voted for their favorite. This fourth winner -- Kris Sebring -- was dubbed the “Crowd-Pleaser.”
