Colonial Regional Police continued the tradition of "Shop with Cops" for the sixth straight year.

The police department reached out to the community for donations and to area schools to find out who might need a little extra help during the holidays.

A group of excited children and several officers -- including Police Chief Roy Seiple -- started their morning with a hearty breakfast at Chick-fil-A in Lower Nazareth Township.

The group continued the fun-filled day by heading across the street -- in police cars -- to the Wal-Mart in the Northampton Crossings shopping center with blazing lights and blaring sirens.

The children embarked on a shopping spree throughout the store with the help of police officers and other volunteers -- they shopped for their families and were allowed to choose one special gift for themselves.

After checkout the group stopped by Dunkin' Donuts to have the gifts wrapped.

The day finished with lunch at Red Robin.
