'Serial Rapist' May Have Other Victims, DA Says

A Bethlehem man who allegedly blamed his sex addiction for the rape of two teens he met on Facebook may have other victims, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli said Wednesday. He said police interviews with 20-year-old David Martinez suggest he met and sexually assaulted other girls. "We do consider him a person of danger and a serial rapist," Morganelli said. Martinez is in Northampton County Prison on $100,000 bail.

Pit Bull Mauls Two People and Dog, Police Say

Salisbury Township police shot and killed a stray pit bull Monday after it mauled two people and a dog and lunged at the officers, according to police. Tammie Jesberger, her father, Bill Tittel, and their 6-year-old cockapoo, Oreo, allegedly were attacked by the pit bull in their Pearl Avenue neighborhood. Oreo underwent four hours of emergency surgery after suffering puncture wounds and a broken jaw in the attack, its owner said.

Cyber Spying Case Targets Ex-School Official, Police Say

A former Easton Area School District official is under investigation for allegedly spying on his colleagues. Forks Township police seized two computers used by Thomas Drago, the district's former director of technology, police chief Greg Dorney said Monday.Police suspect Tom Drago accessed his colleague's computers without their permission, copied documents that may have contained student information, made an unauthorized recording of a closed school board meeting, and may have taken photos of a female school employee's breast, according to a search warrant filed by police.

'You're All Going to Burn,' Accused Arsonist Taunts

Easton police say a Phillipsburg man tried to set a mobile home on fire Wednesday evening, with three people inside, including a 2-year-old girl. William C. Hubbard, 46, is charged with arson, burglary, terroristic threats and related charges. According to police, Hubbard went to the mobile home at 805 Canal St., Easton, and tried to get in. When he couldn't, police said, he poured gasoline onto the home, and allegedly said to those inside: "Do you smell that? You're all going to burn."

Fatal Crash Caused By Speed on 378 Ramp, Cops Say

The crash that killed Joshua Kortze, 24, of the Nazareth area on Jan. 27 happened when he was speeding around a curve on the Route 378 off ramp to get onto Route 22 in Bethlehem, police say.

Underage Drinkers at House Party Cited, Police Say

Twelve people, including two from Fogelsville and three from Orefield, were cited for underage drinking at a Feb. 3 party at a Weisenberg Township home, state police at Fogelsville said. The alleged underage drinking took place at 4542 Senny Court, which, according to a report in The Morning Call, is the home of Northwestern Lehigh School Board Vice President LeRoy Sorensen.

Police Seek Help in Identifying Hit-Run Driver

Hellertown Police announced Monday that they are seeking the public's help in identifying the driver responsible for a Jan. 29 hit-and-run accident at Washington and Ackerman streets in the borough.
