Police: Two Juveniles Throw Gummi Bears, Attack Woman At Regal Cinema
Two 14-year-old females allegedly threw Gummi Bears and attacked a woman in the Regal Cinema parking lot after an exchange of words over littering.
Two 14-year-old females are facing multiple charges including simple assault and harassment after they allegedly threw Gummi Bears and attacked a woman in the parking lot of Regal Cinema in Lower Nazareth Township, according to Colonial Regional Police.
According to a public information release:
On Aug. 12 around 11:36 p.m., police responded to a fight in progress in the front parking lot of Regal Cinema in the Northampton Crossings shopping center.
Following an investigation, it was revealed that a couple who exited the movie theater exchanged words with a group of juveniles sitting outside about littering.
As the couple -- including an adult woman -- continued to walk toward their car, the two female juveniles followed them and started throwing Gummi Bears at their vehicle.
When the woman, who was not identified by police, told the girls to stop, the girls physically attacked her.
Both parties were separated and walked away, but as the woman attempted to get the license plate of the vehicle the juveniles got into, the girls again attacked the woman, knocking her to the ground -- kicking and hitting her.
The parties were again separated by Regal Cinema employees. One of the juveniles had to be pulled off the woman, who was lying on the ground.
A juvenile referral will be filed on the behalf of both juveniles for simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment through Northampton County's juvenile court system.
Police did not release the girls' names because of their age.
