PHOTOS: Opening Day at Nazareth's New Farmers Market
Local vendors offer fresh fruits, veggies and herbs; homemade jellies, baked goods and honey.
From 8 a.m. to noon, about seven vendors stationed their tents and tables on Center Square for the opening day of Nazareth's new farmers market.
The vendors included:
- , 589 East Lawn Rd., Nazareth
- , 1422 Center St., Bethlehem
- Dreamville Retro Bake Shop, 5753 Nor-Bath Blvd., Bath
- Clear Spring Farm, 206 Garr Rd., Easton
- Sal-Lee Farm, 725 Richmond Road, Bangor
- Ray of Sun Farm
- Baarda Farms and Denise's Design, 1566 River Rd., Mt. Bethel
- A face painter was also available for the kids, and musical entertainment was provided by a volunteer from the Nazareth Center for the Arts.
The farmers market will be held every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon and is scheduled for a 20-week run -- possibly longer.

Additional vendors are expected to join the market as more crops come in, and if opening day has any indication of things to come, the new market in downtown Nazareth will most certainly flourish.
