NCC Offers Ice Fishing Classes for Youth

Children in grades 6 through 10 can learn about and experience ice fishing at classes offered by Northampton Community College at Lake Wallenpaupack.

 

Children in grades 6 through 10 can learn about and experience ice fishing at classes offered by Northampton Community College (NCC) and taught by professional fisherman and guide Joe Pacholec.

The classes will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the following Saturdays:

  • Jan. 12
  • Jan. 26
  • Feb. 9

An NCC van will take students from Hartzell Hall, Main Campus, to Lake Wallenpaupack. The instructor will dig the holes and teach safety and tips.

Children should bring lunch and a snack. A hot dog and bottled water will be provided.

The fee is $129 and registration is limited to 6 children. To register your children for this new course, call 1-877-543-0998 or go to Northampton.edu/lifelearn.
