Nazareth Area Happenings: July 2-7

The Nazareth YMCA will hold its first-ever Team Challenge event for kids ages 6 to 14 on Saturday, July 7 at Nazareth Boro-Park.

1. Nazareth Borough Council will meet at 7 tonight -- Monday, July 2 -- at Nazareth Borough Council Chambers.

2. Due to the July 4th holiday, the Upper Nazareth Board of Supervisors meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 3 at 7 p.m. has been canceled. The next meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18.

3. Nazareth's fireworks won't be held until July 21, in conjunction with Nazareth Days. But if you're itching for some Independence Day booms and crackles, here are seven places in the Lehigh Valley to see fireworks this week.

4. The Nazareth YMCA will hold its first-ever Team Challenge event on Saturday, July 7 at Nazareth Boro-Park. The challenge is open to children ages 6 to 14 and is designed to be a fun, dirty team-building experience. Each team is expected to work together to complete all obstacles. So come carry sandbags, run through tires, hop through hoops, pull yourself through slime and low crawl your way to the finish line! 5. Saturday night -- July 7 -- is Movie Night at Nazareth Boro-Park. "We Bought a Zoo" (Rated PG) will begin at sundown (about 9 p.m.) in the amphitheater. Don't forget to bring a blanket or chair so you can enjoy the movie in comfort.

I would like information about Nazareth Days 2012 please. Who do I need to contact to get a spot to sell my crafts at the park? And will be needed to do so?

Hi Jen,

I've been working hard to compile all of the information on Nazareth Days - there's a lot going on! I have it all now, so I plan to get it posted on Nazareth Patch ASAP!

Meanwhile, the contact for Nazareth Days is Paul Luongo. He should be able to answer any questions about selling your crafts at the park: pluongo@merchantsbangor.com
