Lower Nazareth Sees Shakeup of Board Members
The Lower Nazareth Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board welcome new members during annual reorganization meeting Tuesday night.
The Lower Nazareth Township Board of Supervisors held its annual reorganization meeting Tuesday night, welcoming new members to the supervisors, Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board.
The former vice chairman of the Planning Commission also jumped to the Zoning Hearing Board.
Board of Supervisors:
Gerald Green was sworn in as a newly elected supervisor for a six-year term. Green replaces Ricky Johnson.
Eric Nagle was reappointed as chairman and Robert Kucsan as vice chairman, according to Tammy Dravecz, the assistant secretary and treasurer to the board. Martin Boucher and James Pennington round out the rest of the 2012 Board of Supervisors.
The Planning Commission picked up a new member in LeRoy Bickert, who was elected to a five-year term. He replaces Robert Hicks, whose term ended at the completion of 2011.
According to Dravecz, Hicks will remain on the commission as a temporary alternate until a matter that was continued into 2012 has been voted on. The commission will then look for a new alternate, Dravecz said.
Mike Gable was moved from an alternate to a regular member of the Planning Commission, Dravecz said. He will serve a three-year term.
Zoning Hearing Board:
Zachariah Cobrinik, the former vice chairman of the Planning Commission, has moved to the Zoning Hearing Board. He will finish Rick Gangewere’s term, which ends in 2013. Gangewere resigned for personal reasons, Dravecz said.
Darren Lueders was reappointed as an alternate, Dravecz said, adding that alternate terms on the various boards are held for one year.
