Death Threats on Baby's Mother Made by Nazareth Shooter, Police Say

Timothy Nixon, who killed himself Monday night in Nazareth, threatened his baby's mother and himself, court document states.

The Nazareth man who killed himself Monday night as authorities arrived with an arrest warrant threatened to kill his baby's mother and himself, a court document obtained by Nazareth Patch states.

Timothy Nixon, 32, of Nazareth apparently told Michael Gazzano, from whom he stole a firearm one day before his fatal self-inflicted shooting, that "he had to make things right and that he was going to kill his baby's mother and himself," an affidavit states.

On Sunday, Patrolman Daniel Troxell responded to 148 S. Main St. for a report of a stolen firearm. He spoke to Gazzano, who told the officer that he had received a phone call from Nixon, who was an acquaintance.

Gazzano apparently told police that Nixon "had a history with weapons" and that he was in fear for his life and his family's lives, the affidavit states.

Gazzano told police that Nixon was not allowed at the residence at 148 S. Main St., and that he cut a screen, came through a window and had taken a pistol from the nightstand next to his bed without his knowledge, the court document states.

It was then that police issued the felony warrant for Nixon's arrest.
