The Lehigh County Coroner's officer has identified one of the victims in Wednesday morning's two-car crash in Lower Nazareth Township.

Gertrude M. Babin, 88, of Bethlehem was pronounced dead at 10:16 a.m. at St. Luke's University Hospital in Fountain Hill.

An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday, according to a press release.

A second person traveling in a station wagon with Babin was also killed, according to a report in The Express-Times, but has not been identified.

The Northampton County coroner was called to the scene of a rollover accident in front of 4519 Hanoverville Road around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Colonial Regional Police Chief Roy Seiple told The Express-Times that a dog traveling in a pickup truck was also killed. The driver of the truck suffered minor to moderate injuries.

According to a Breaking News Network alert, three victims were trapped and one was unconscious when the first 911 call came in. At 10 a.m., the police chief for Hecktown Volunteer Fire Co. No. 1 requested the coroner.

Hanoverville Road was closed between Route 191 and Georgetown Road, which is just before Dutch Springs.

Seiple was not immediately available when Patch called for comment.

In addition to the Lehigh County Coroner's office, Colonial Regional Police and the Northampton County District Attorney’s office are investigating.
