A Bushkill Township woman on Wednesday admitted to embezzling $852,852 from her employer, Star Pontiac-Buick-GMC in Lower Nazareth Township, over a seven-year period, according to a report in The Morning Call.
Anne Difrancesco, 34, of the 200 block of Daniels Road was charged in Februrary after allegedly using 20 company checks and taking $102,924.65 over the course of one year from the dealership, according to Colonial Regional Police.
A more extensive audit by the dealership, however, revealed she apparently had been forging checks since 2005.
In exchange for pleading guilty to forgery and theft by deception, according to a WFMZ-TV report, authorities agreed to drop a charge of receiving stolen property.
She will be sentenced by Northampton County Judge Emil Giordano on Sept. 21.
