BikeFest Wheels into Nazareth

The second annual BikeFest takes place in downtown Nazareth Saturday.

Downtown Nazareth is throwing a party Saturday.

The 2nd annual Nazareth BikeFest returns to the historic downtown with an event that's expected to draw hundreds of people.

BikeFest begins at noon and runs until 7 p.m. The free event, which offers food and live music, will be held rain or shine.

Over 25 artisans will display their talents and sell their goods while local restaurants will offer a taste of their cuisine.

There will be a live radio remote from 107 the Bone from 3-5 p.m. A main stage will also showcase local bands.

The Vigilant Hose Fire Co. is hosting a beer tent as well.

But the main attraction is the bike show.

The bike show will have the following three categories: Custom, antique and trikes. The cost to enter is $25 and winners in each category will receive trophies.

All proceeds will benefit the Nazareth Food Bank. The food bank assists about 300 local families and individuals every month.

The first Nazareth Bike Fest netted $900 for the Nazareth Area Food Bank.

The event is sponsored by the Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce and the Vigilant Hose Volunteer Fire Co.
