Ambulance Corps to Hold 50th Anniversary Celebration

Hecktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps will hold a 50th anniversary celebration this Saturday, Sept. 17.

 

Hecktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps, which serves Lower Nazareth Township, will hold a 50th anniversary celebration this Saturday, Sept. 17.

The celebration will begin with an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hecktown EMS Station, 4519 Hanoverville Road, Bethlehem (Lower Nazareth Township).

During the open house, there will be ambulance, fire apparatus and PennSTAR Flight displays, in addition to K-9 police demonstrations.

Over at Trinity Lutheran Church, there will be a community-appreciation concert. The concert will feature the Municipal Band of Allentown.

Grounds will open at 5 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. There will be a refreshment stand for food and beverages, and don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets!

A fireworks display will follow the concert.

The scheduled raindate is Sunday, Sept. 18.

Where will the fireworks be shot off at? The church or at the Hecktown EMS Station?

Since the fireworks will be following the concert at the church, I'd assume they can be watched from the church grounds -- so folks don't have to shuffle back and forth to new locations.
