4th Annual Slate Belt YMCA 5K Run and Fun Walk Saturday

The Slate Belt YMCA will be holding its Annual 5K Run and Fun Walk on June 1 at 9 a.m. with a 7:30 a.m. check-in at the Blue Valley Farm Show Grounds, 707 American Bangor Road in Washington Township, just outside Bangor.

The proceeds from the event go toward the construction of the Slate Belt YMCA, which will be in Pen Argyl off of Pennsylvania Avenue (Rt. 512).

This is a great event for walkers and runners of all ability levels. The course will take participants through the scenic neighborhoods surrounding the Blue Valley Farm Show complex. 

Prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers, male and female, in each age group. Refreshments will be served after the event. There will also be awards given to the top winners of the Poster and Billboard contest from local participating schools. 

The first 100 registrations will receive a commemorative T-shirt. Registration for the event is available online at slatebeltymca.org, or at the Nazareth YMCA, 33 S. Main St., Nazareth PA, 18064. Registrations will also be accepted the morning of the event.
