1-2 Inches of Snow for Nazareth Area Monday
The first day of spring is almost here but winter won't give up as another storm heads our way Monday into Tuesday.
The winter of 2012-13 just won't quit and looks poised to bring us more snow, freezing rain and rain on Monday and Tuesday.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory in effect from 2 p.m. Monday to 8 a.m. Tuesday for one to two inches of snow plus a possible small accumulation of ice.
The NWS forecast calls for:
- Monday: Snow likely before 2 p.m., then rain and snow. High near 35. Snow accumulation of one to two inches possible.
- Monday Night: Rain, snow, and sleet before 11pm, then sleet between 11pm and 1am, then rain or freezing rain after 1am. Low around 31.
- Tuesday: A chance of rain or freezing rain before 8am, then a chance of rain showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41.
A winter weather advisory means snow, sleet and freezing rain may make travel slippery.
